What is LIGA FILIPINA?

The name Liga Filipina derives its name from the revolutionary group La Liga Filipina, founded by Jose Rizal against Spain. We are the Filipino Cultural Organization of the University at Albany. We are also one of the seven member schools of District IV under the FIND (Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue) umbrella.

Liga Filipina was established in 1992. We strive to spread awareness and educate the UAlbany community about Filipino history and culture through workshops, performances, community services, and social activities.
